The Golden Bears wireless network provides a fully-encrypted, wireless connection for KU students, faculty, and staff. Golden Bears is available in all residential and non-residential buildings on campus.
This article contains instructions for configuring Golden Bears for the first time on an Android device.
Steps to Configure Golden Bears
- Connect your wireless device to ResNet WiFi (residence halls) or BearNet (all other buildings). You will be asked to log in. Use only the first part of your email along with your current password.
- Once your device is registered, wait a couple seconds and the screen will change for you to Join the Secure network, Golden Bears (securewifi.kutztown.edu). Click JoinNow to get the SecureW2 JoinNow app from the Google Play Store.
- Enter your KU username, password, and name your device. Click Continue. (Note: Be sure to enter only your KU user ID and NOT your entire KU email address)
- When your device has finished enrolling the security certificate, it should automatically connect to BearNet Secure. Click Done.
